“Undoing racism requires innovation” —MnEEP Bush Prize
“Minnesota suffers from some of the worst academic disparities between students of color, Indigenous students, and white students in educational outcomes.
Our mission at MnEEP is to change that.
We change that by influencing how schools, colleges, education systems structure themselves and approach their relationships with these students in order to advance culturally validating pedagogical practices.
Any redesign of any human structure is going to require a new way of thinking. Combating racism—undoing racism— requires innovation.”
Check out the full video below, as part of the Bush Prize award, and learn more about how we’re working to build a racially just education system where the humanity of POCI students is honored and celebrated in all education spaces, and the racial predictability and disproportionality of student achievement is eliminated.
